Hair Fashion

If there is one thing that most little girls are concerned about it is hair fashion. This usually starts around age ten or twelve in earnest, and will probably last a life time. Our hair is something that can be changed time and time again because it keeps growing out, though it does that faster for some than for others. I have been the exception, and I do not know if it is a blessing or a curse. I have naturally curly hair, so that means that my options are not nearly what people with straight hair have. Though my selections are limited, it also means that I do not have to worry about it as much as others seem to.

If you have naturally curly hair like I do, you already know your choices for hair fashion are limited. However, if you really want something new, you should find someone who specializes in your type of hair. Naturally curly hair is nothing like straight hair. There is just no comparison. It is harder to manage, harder to care for, and the styles for hair fashion are limited. However, there are many out there that know what they are doing, and they can usually find something amazing to do with your hair. You just have to find the right person. Call around and ask.

Those with straight hair have a wide open field when it comes to hair fashion. They can do almost anything they want as long as they find a good stylist to cut their hair for them. The choices are never limited, but there are trends that many like to stick to. Even someone who does not like to follow trends will generally find something that is trendy, and then have it cut to their specifications. The problem is choosing and knowing what will look best with your face shape.

One of the best places to find the latest hair fashion styles is to look at those who cut hair for a living. They probably have the latest cuts on their heads. This can give you an idea of what is popular and even what is about to catch on. The best thing about hair fashion is that a simple cut will look different on each person. Talk with a qualified stylist about what you want to do with your hair, and ask them if they think it is a good idea. They often know what would look good for you.

In addition, hair salons have style books you can look through to get ideas. These styles are often too way out for every day life, but you can get some good ideas. Lastly, you can use the old standby of providing a picture of the style you want. Look through magazines. Often, there will be a movie star or two that has a style you like and can wear. Don't forget to take physical characteristics into consideration. Consider your hair type, head size and face shape, along with your current hair length. Even with these minor limitations, it is easier for a stylist to understand what you what by looking at a photograph or other printed sample, rather than by a verbal description. Often, too much gets lost in the translation, and when it comes to your style considerations, communication with your stylist is key.
